Stanley Wong
Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, Search Physics
Stanley Wong, Yahoo!’s 41st employee, held roles in establishing sales operations,
sales programs, product marketing, and business management while primarily
contributing to Yahoo!’s growth in Internet Advertising. During his nearly 8-
year tenure at Yahoo! (1996–2003), he was instrumental in establishing Yahoo!’s
advertising operations, email direct marketing, rich media, data mining, and online
ad serving efforts. While representing Yahoo!, Stanley also contributed to Internetwide
advertising standards with the Internet Advertising Bureau. He is currently Vice
President of Marketing & Business Development for Search Physics. Search Physics
is a startup developing a next-generation search engine technology platform.
Viktor Nemeth
Director, Business Development Yahoo Search Marketing, Yahoo!
Viktor Nemeth is a veteran of search engine marketing and the online advertising
industry. He joined Yahoo! in early 2000 and has held a variety of key planning,
operational, and business development roles. Viktor currently manages the Analytics
product line and champions emerging business opportunities within Global Product
Management, supporting the Sponsored Search, Content Match, and Local Match
product lines. Previously, Viktor led strategy and planning for the Direct Sales group
during its growth from a domestic, $150mm annual revenue stream into a multibillion
dollar global business. Prior to Yahoo! Search Marketing, Viktor was an Analyst for
the Internet/New Media Services Investment Banking group at Lehman Brothers.
Viktor earned his BA in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting from UCLA.
Raghu Bala
Chief Technology Officer, Primedia
Raghu Bala, CTO at Primedia, manages more than 200 Internet properties, including
such brand names as MotorTrend, Automobile, and Hot Rod. He helps set strategy
and participates in managing technologies such as Internet search, Search Engine
Optimization, Internet Advertising, and Internet Video programming. Raghu has
founded two startups in his 17-year career—both sold to public companies (Keane,
Inc., and InfoSpace, Inc.). He was a Director at Yahoo prior to Primedia,
helping run Yahoo’s Contextual Search Business. He was also a Director of Search
and Directory products at Yahoo, helping in M&A activities such as those related to
Online Yellow Pages, Internet Advertising, and Click Fraud. He taught at Columbia
University’s Computer Technology and Applications Program and is the author of
several books and articles on technology topics for Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, and
Microsoft Press. Among his degrees are an MBA from the Wharton School and an
MS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a member of Mensa.
Jeff Oscodar
President and Chief Executive Officer, HandHeld Entertainment
Jeff Oscodar has been Director, President, and Chief Executive Officer of HandHeld Entertainment since November 2004. Prior to joining HandHeld, Oscodar founded and ran Rule 168 Advisors from July 1999 to November 2004, a consulting firm focused on commercializing new technology. At Rule 168, he advised Raytheon on how to turn defense industry applications into valuable commercial operations. Previously, he co-founded InfoGear Technology Corporation, which produced the first Web-enabled telephone and was sold to Cisco Systems in March 2000 for $301 million. While at InfoGear, he developed content partnerships with companies such as Amazon.com, eToys, Time Inc., USA Today, and Yahoo!.
Adam Gross
Vice President of Developer Marketing, salesforce.com
Adam Gross is Vice President of Developer Marketing at salesforce.com. Adam focuses on salesforce.com’s Apex platform and AppExchange directory for on-demand applications in order to bring integration and development technologies within Apex to companies, ISVs, and developers worldwide. This work includes launching the company’s first Web services API, which has grown to become a popular business Web service and accounts for more than 40% of all of salesforce.com’s traffic. Prior to salesforce.com, Adam was an early innovator in the Web services market, serving as Vice President of Product Marketing at Grand Central Communications. Before joining Grand Central, he co-founded Personify, a San Francisco-based software company that provided personalization and analytics systems for some of the Web’s largest sites. Adam also served as a technology analyst in Stanford Research Institute’s Media Futures Program. He holds a BS in New Media Systems and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
