Marc Freedman
Founder and CEO of RazorPop

Marc Freedman is Founder and CEO of RazorPop, a provider of point-to-point (P2P) digital media delivery services and software development.  He speaks at conferences such as the Digital Media Conference and Digital Hollywood.  As a senior analyst at The Diffusion Group, a consultancy on the digital home, he wrote the industry report on Podcasting.  He also writes the P2P Insider and Digital Music Future weblogs.

Marc has presented to and consulted with the US Senate, the FBI, and the Federal Trade Commission.  Additionally, he works with international, state, and local law enforcement in the area of Internet safety and child protection.  He advises equity investors and companies seeking investment and has been an executive at Fortune 500 companies including AT&T and Verizon.  Marc holds an MBA from the Yale University School of Management and BS in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Raghu Bala
Chief Technology Officer, Primedia

Raghu Bala, CTO at Primedia, manages more than 200 Internet properties, including such brand names as MotorTrend, Automobile, and Hot Rod.  He helps set strategy and participates in managing technologies such as Internet search, search engine optimization, Internet advertising, and Internet video programming.  Raghu has founded two startups in his 17-year career—both sold to public companies (Keane, Inc., and InfoSpace, Inc.).  He was a director at Yahoo prior to Primedia, helping run Yahoo’s Contextual Search Business.  He was also a Director of Search and Directory products at Yahoo, helping in M&A activities such as those related to online yellow pages, Internet advertising, and click fraud.  He taught at Columbia University’s Computer Technology and Applications Program and is the author of several books and articles on technology topics for Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, and Microsoft Press.  Among his degrees are an MBA from the Wharton School and an MS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  He is a member of Mensa.

Michael Jacobs
Search Engine Expert

Michael Jacobs, a noted search engine expert, co-founded WebMogul, one of the first SEO firms, and currently runs search and affiliate efforts for clients such as Yahoo! HotJobs, Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal, Legal Sea Foods, eMusic, and Forbes Magazine.  Before founding WebMogul, Michael was Director of Product Marketing for Expression Engines (now Epsilon Interactive).  Previously, he was a venture capitalist with Interactive Capital, an early stage VC that invested in Internet and communications companies.  Michael is a member of the Linkshare Affiliate Advisory Panel, a CJ Performer, and an invitee of the Google Advertiser Research Panel.  He graduated magna cum laude from Yale University with a BA in Economics.

Michael Schornstein
Development Officer, Retail, Yahoo

Michael Schornstein was most recently the Development Officer for Spot Marketing at Yahoo.  He was responsible for developing, branding, and launching Yahoo! Spot Marketing, the corporation’s first spot media initiative.  Michael was initially recruited to Yahoo! in 2003 to rebuild the retail category, where he developed and executed Yahoo’s first traditional retail-focused national strategy.  He created and launched Retail Direct, the first packaged product designed to measure online advertising’s impact on offline sales, and launched Brand Connect, the first online consumer targeting product to serve graphic advertising based on consumer brand name search.  Prior to Yahoo, he was SVP of Marketing for Warnaco.  Among his Warnaco accomplishments were:  introducing strategic brand marketing and life-cycle management to a $2 billion-plus fashion leader and repositioning and relaunching eight brands—over $1 billion in revenue.  He has an MBA in Marketing from Vanderbilt University and a BA from Tulane University.

Andy Coleman
Independent Internet Consultant

Andy Coleman is currently a full-time independent Internet Consultant, concentrating on business plan and strategy development; business development strategy and implementation; and marketing planning and positioning.  He has recently consulted to MerchantCircle.com and an online firm in the job search sector.  Before opening his own consulting shop, Andrew was at eBay from 1998 to 2006, as the company grew from fewer than 200 employees to several thousand.  As the Director of Business Development for the Strategic Partners Group, he was responsible for strategies for adding partner-related services to the eBay platform.  In this capacity, he lead a team responsible for business development, product development, and the marketing of shipping features on eBay, which resulted in partnerships with the US Postal Service and UPS and the creation of a new shipping platform for sellers.
